A month after it was announced without corruption, Montenegro restored restrictions late at night on Thursday, including preventing sports activities and political rallies in the wild, with the aim of curbing the spread of new cases.
In a statement, the national body in charge of fighting the disease said it had also banned religious meetings outside cult objects.
Montenegrin authorities have also introduced an additional set of restrictions in two municipalities in the country's north, which have been hit most by the disease, including a curfew from 6:00 pm to 5:00am.
On May 25th, Montenegro, which depends on revenues from tourism along its Adriatic coast, declared itself without corruption, but the number of infections increased 10 days ago. Authorities have reported that 100 new cases.
COVIED-19 disease has so far killed nine people and infected 424 in the country with a population of only 620,000.
