Macron hosts Kosovo-Serbia summit in Paris on 17 July

Besides the US, the European Union has also been activated with its emissary, Miroslav Lajcak, who is staying in Kosovo, to inform the parties of its plan and deadlines.

But commitment will also be made by powerful states within the EU in support of Lajcak.

French President Emannuel Macron plans to organise a summit in Paris on July 17th, Time report.

Keeping a meeting such as German-French commitment had failed to be held on July 1st last year, due to a 100 per cent tax on goods originally from Serbia. The latter refused to return to the negotiating table, having the tax in effect.

Despite France and Germany's request, former Prime Minister Haradinaj had refused to remove the tax. Meanwhile, former EU foreign policy chief Federica Moghrini had charged that, along with Rama, Thaci and Vucinqiqi are committed to partitioning Kosovo.
