Macedonia: Today the state of emergency ends, election campaign kicks off on Wednesday

Today, the state of emergency eight days, proclaimed by Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski.
The state of emergency, the fifth in a row, was announced on June 15th in order to realise the necessary preparations for holding elections on July 15th, following agreement between the two leaders, LSDM Zoran Zaev and VMRO- DPMNE, Hristian Mickoski.
In early parliamentary elections, according to lists submitted to the KSHZ, 15 coalitions and parties with 1598 candidates will participate.
The election campaign starts on Wednesday, June 24th, as it ends on July 12th. Campaign parties will have to respect measures for protection from Pandemia Covid-19, Alsat writes
Voting in early parliamentary elections will take place in three days, while voting between seven o'clock and 9:00.
On 13 July, Diagnosed persons with Ovid 19 will vote, as well as persons who have a decision to identify themselves.
On 14 July, chronically ill people will vote, as well as others who under the Electoral Code vote a day before holding elections.
Early parliamentary elections were due to be held on 12 April, but due to the crisis with the new coronary (Convid-19), as well as because of the proclamation of the first state of emergency in March, the Macedonian government through the related ordinance suspended all election actions.
