Recently, there has been increased tension between the two countries, due to propagandistic tracts that groups of fugitive dissidents from North Korea began to disperse late last month against the jinn regime.
Meanwhile last week, North Korea blew up one of the co-ordination offices mediating neighbourly affairs with South Korea, and also threatened to send troops to the border area.
But at a leadership-led meeting Kim Jong, state media said the decision was made to suspend military action, the BBC writes.
The Central Military Commission immediately approved its decision.
North Korea remains almost completely isolated internationally due to the economic sanctions applied by Washington due to the nuclear weapons the country has.
