Kadri Wessel: Aktaxa is politically supported, does not remove any expectations from KLA war

In an unprecedented move, the prosecutor has issued a statement before the Court confirmed or dropped the charges he claims. The Special Prosecutor's Office under the Special Chambers has issued a press release today announcing that it has filed charges against me and President Thaci.

In an unprecedented move, the prosecutor has issued a statement before the Court confirmed or dropped the charges he claims.

In this statement, the prosecutor tries to reason on his unfair and unusual decision, claiming that the President and I have tried to prevent the work of the Special Chambers.

The doubts raised are completely false and do not stand.

There is also no basis for claims of obstructing the work of the court.

And it's a deep concern such language of addressing with falsehood.

Another concern is the belief that this Prosecutor's true motives are entirely political.

In view of time and circumstances, a few days before the meeting at the White House, doubts have rightly been raised that this is coincidence.

No prosecutor should ever allow his decisions to be governed by political motives.

With this approach, the prosecutor has warned the way he claims to follow him to exercise all his power.

He is warning the people of Kosovo that this process cannot be reliable to share impartial justice, and undirected by political circumstances.

He is trying to cover the true motives, which seem to be political, through conflicting statements.

I want to assure all citizens that I will not allow this prosecutor and anyone like him to stain the Kosovo Liberation Army in this way.

We've been forced to defend ourselves and our country. And we'll do it again.

If imposed, we will once again demonstrate with evidence that the KLA has waged an honest struggle for freedom against one of the most powerful and aggressive armies in the world, led by a criminal gang of Serbs.

Freedom fighters, who in 1998 and 1999 took up arms to protect their people, families, homes and honours, to Serbia's genocide efforts, deserve only honour and dignity, and not insults in this way.

I am proud to have been part of the liberation war of the people of Kosovo, and I totally deny any involvement in any criminal act.

Brave KLA fighters are defenders, war heroes, who have fought against a fierce Serb aggressor, and are not war criminals.

The International War Crimes Tribunal in the former Yugoslavia has already addressed war events in Kosovo in five separate judgments.

At the end of these judgments, six Serbian leaders have been convicted and convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity, against the Albanian civilian population.

While all top KLA leaders were acquitted.

This speaks of the truth that crimes in Kosovo have been committed by Serbs and not by Albanians.

The Prosecutor's statement today is another attempt to rewrite history, distorting the truth about our holy liberation war.

It is my honor and privilege to defend Kosovo once again, if imposed.

I know I will also have your support to protect the liberation war, our freedom, The KLA and the history of Kosovo against these unilateral claims.

The man who was a warrior doesn't care, because he knows why he fought. Since the first day I've been to KLA. I will serve my nation to the end.

The KLA war was sacred. It will remain such in our hearts and minds.

The history of Kosovo is once written. No one, never can change it.

Our freedom and independence will never be undone.

Kosovo and its people will always exist.
