The “Program that we have prepared addresses the priority needs of the state, society and the economy of Kosovo, based on principles and norms stemming from the Constitution of Kosovo in the function of preserving independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and the constitutional order of Kosovo that for us as the Government of Kosovo is the essential state obligation stemming from the will of citizens”.
We have a tight schedule ahead of us. We have outlined the governing programme in several governing objectives: the battle that we have to win against pandemic, economic recovery to turn the standard of life and the level of businesses where it was before pandemic, while other objectives will be to strengthen the state, advance democracy, fight negative phenomena, separate crime and corruption, economic development based on the economy of employment and investment growth, and take full responsibility as governments in accordance with the constitution to advance dialogue with Serbia in close co-operation with the US, and not allowing change of borders and other territories, he said.
Hoti has also shown how the government he runs plans to manage the situation with pandemic, as the first and the previous targets.
“in our program we have created this part in two columns. One, the measures during the emergency phase where we plan to keep our health system and the awareness of citizens upstairs fully mobilised as we open businesses and societies to gradually return to normal. Taking in protocols that were developed by O BSH and the European Commission to enable gradual return to normality”.
The long-term pandesmic measures include the creation of capacities to carry out huge numbers of tests across Kosovo with fast and decentralised procedures by integrating all levels of the health system, as well as the public and private health system, to have the capacity needed for future coping in case the pandemic” returns.
We will also build a kind of intelligence system where we quickly identify cases that can be presented by implementing the protocols of the European Commission and WHO. At the function of this first visit as prime minister I had yesterday at the Ministry of Health, where the minister and I have met the staff that has been at the forefront of this war during these months”, Hoti said.
