Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has demanded that Kosovo's Assembly address the Project on Meeting-Reforming the 2020 Budget and re-procedure for ratification of international agreements. According to him, these would pave the way for immediate measures to help citizens and businesses.
In a Facebook post, Hoti has said that pandemic-hit businesses depend on a favourable economic environment.
The small and medium-sized businesses, including those run by young women and entrepreneurs, are being hit mostly by the economic downturn caused by the pandemic. Measures to prevent corruption spread have resulted in disruptions of the supply chain and a massive drop in demand in most sectors. To continue to play their crucial role in job creation and improved living conditions, businesses depend more than ever on a favourable economic environment that provides support for access to finance, information and markets”, it wrote.
I have also written down to Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa Osmani, so that Kosovo's Assembly will address the draft draft's priority for completing the reform of the Kosovo Republic of 2020 budget, as well as the reprocedure to ratify international agreements. Taking into account the consequences this pandemic is causing in the economy, the adoption of the Budget Bill and ratification of international agreements would pave the way for the Government to take immediate measures in assisting citizens and businesses, with much needed plans for economic recovery. Therefore, with understanding of the serious economic situation in the country, it requires that this bill be handled with high priority”, Hoti has concluded.
