Haradinaj: Special Court Should Be Set in Kosovo

Haradinaj has said the focus should not be on the fact that Thaci will not resign until verifying the indictment, but on managing the situation so that Kosovo can maintain national interest.

The issue of resignation does not matter first. Kosovo should focus on management that should be made with this situation. There's an indictment proposal for Thaci and Wessel. I have to see how Kosovo can keep national interest in this case. This blow that has occurred through the indictment, not to cause Kosovo irreparable consequences”, Haradinaj has said in Debat Plus.

Chairman Haradinaj said he and his party have not supported the Special Court, despite not denying the implementation of justice for all war victims.

I have not supported this court. This court would have to be set up in Kosovo, at the same time the judicial system with foreign prosecutors and court”, he has said.

Haradinaj has stressed that the AAK has been to establish the tribunal in Kosovo, though witnesses could be protected abroad as well.

We don't have to counter the establishment of justice for all victims. We have requested that the court be established in Kosovo while witnesses are protected even abroad. But no courts, witnesses have been able to be questioned or held outside Kosovo”, he stressed.
