Tuesday afternoon, Trade and Industry Minister Vesel Krasniqi, together with the Kosovo Communist Association, have held an urgent meeting with the Directorates of Municipal Inspectorates.
It was announced from this meeting that the instruction and manual issued by the IKSC, for preventing the spread of Ovid-19, are not being implemented by Gastronoms.
Trade and Industry Minister Vesel Krasniqi has said that all works for the prevention of Covid-19 should now be organised in central-level co-operation with the local one.
Prompt closing the gastronomy sector, as they are ignoring recommendations coming out of the MS manual.
We demand that all these commands, this manual, along with you in every bar, in your municipalities, with police escorting local levels we think we're going to make it. This is for the benefit of gastronomies, which we have allowed to exercise their activities. So for not to come to my closure, those locals consider it necessary, co-operation with you to guide and respect the institute's instructions to prevent the massive opening of affected by Ovid-19”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi stressed that the number of inspectors is small, in addition to the situation created with Covid-19. Until he made it known that this case was put into the House Government program.
He added, they agreed to create a task force in order to manage the situation created with the pandemic.
We know that the actual number, both at the central level and at the local level, is insufficient enough to confront this pandemic... Because of the deal with international monetary fund, we couldn't increase the physical number of inspectors, but we've entered the Hoti Government program, in conversation with our friends, increasing the number of inspectors... In conversation today with the prime minister and relevant dictatorship, we have agreed that in the form of this meeting, of course, with your suggestions to coordinate, it would probably be necessary to establish a task force, where it would be made up of representatives of central and college levels or local levels. So that we can be 24 hours in service of citizens... this task force would require both logistical and moral support, but even the wages, we'll be co-ordinating the next few days and we'll go to aid and support, what's required right now is that these instructions and the manual issued by the IKPK is implemented correctly,”, he said.
While, Kosovo Commission Association Executive Director Saban Ibrahimi has said that so far the local level has implemented all commands issued from the central level.
“The Association of Kosovo municipalities has played a significant role in co-ordinating activities in the middle of the local level with the central level, in the struggle to prevent the spread of Avid-19, also all municipal structures that have been headed by the mayors of the municipalities have played a substantial role in terms of obligations that have come from the central level. As we know, the Government of Kosovo in co-ordination with the mayors has drafted the manual for preventing the spread of Civid-19. That's why we called this meeting so that the central level co-ordinates activities with the local level, in terms of the field of inspection”, he said.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, Health Minister Armend Zemaj, and Minister of Infrastructure Arba Abashi were invited to the meeting, but were not seen present.
