EU warns Slovenia of job discrimination

The committee found that the right to equal wages regardless of gender in Slovenia was violated, despite the existence of a corresponding legal framework, and called for great efforts to overcome this situation.
In addition to Slovenia, the committee warned 14 of the 15 EU member states facing charges of contempt of European Social Charter provisions.
In Slovenia, in 2010, the wage gap between men and women to do the same was 0.9 percent in favour of men, the lowest in Europe at the time. Seven years later, it was eight percent, twice less than the then average at the whole EU level
