Efforts to extract the dead bodies of the two miners who lost their lives today are under way.
Waiting for results in the dig are very small, as there is a massive stone that is making troop extraction difficult, although they are being seen by search-saving teams.
Fatmir Grguri, chief inspector of the mines, hopes that the extraction of the two miners' lifeless bodies will occur today. He acknowledges, however, that their extraction is quite difficult.
On the fifth horizon, in a collapse of a heavy stone, we have two miners left dead. We're doing our best to free them. They are accessible, they are seen, but the extraction of the victims is still very difficult”, Gergur said.
Hakki Arifi and Idriz Gerbeshi remained dead this morning at the Artana mine.
The tragic event has taken place in one of the horizons of the Arena mine.
The two people who lost their lives tragically were inside until part of the mine collapsed, while others suffered slight injuries.
At the scene, incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti has also emerged, who has announced that the Government will assist the victims' families with 30 thousand euros.
