Bernie Saunders, Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who have not supported the challengers in the preliminary races of the Democrats before, were done with Bowman and anti-Engel, writes Politico, Periscopi.
Two major leftist groups -- the Justice Democrats and the Workers' Family Party -- have also announced they would spend more than half a million dollars to elect Bowman.
However, Engel has also received powerful support from Hillary Clinton, Nancy Bellos and Chuck Schumer.
The competition for the 16th district of New York has already become the most mediatic at the national level after clashes between the Titans of the Democratic Party for it.
But the eventual loss of Engel has also helped him with his catastrophic wrongs.
