Serbia's diplomatic chief, Ivica Dacic, has said on Thursday evening that US President Donald Trump's administration is better for Serbia than that of the Democratic Party, as it does not assess that the Kosovo issue has been resolved.

The “Democrats appreciate the Kosovo issue resolved, while the Trump administration estimates it is not resolved and that it should come to compromise. We have contributed to this, too, because we have managed to ensure the appeal of Kosovo's recognition and have strengthened relations with several countries, such as Germany”, Daciq told Pink 3.

According to Dacic, Serbia should be active in supporting Trump and should motivate Serbs in the US for the November 3rd elections to vote for the current US president.

Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister has confirmed that it will continue with activities aimed at attracting recognition of Kosovo's independence as long as it is lobbied for Kosovo's membership in international organisations.

“We should not go to the EU at the price of giving up on Kosovo or to accept Kosovo's independence”, Dacic has said.

He has even spoken of testing that has been done in Kosovo for Coronavirus, until he has commented on Montenegro's decision to open the border to Kosovo residents, but not to those of Serbia.

“They have invented specific figures, they have released Kosovo citizens, while there has been no major test for coronary”, Dachic stressed.
