The infection doctor at Durres Hospital marks the first case of reinfectation in our country, questioning the establishment of immunity in persons cured by Covid-19. This case was reported the day before by the Ministry of Health.
Doctor B. Gelaj was initially infected in early March by the 73-year-old patient from Stavlash, who lost his life recording and the first victim from Covid-19 to Albania, about a week after her return from Italy.
On March 25th, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu announced that the Durres doctor was healed after the results of two successive tests for Covid-19 that proved negative. After self-acrantination, Gelaj returned to work, but this weekend he has faced the virus again, having been infected by family contacts, Top Channel reports.
Her daughter, who is a doctor in the QSUT internal disease ward, has been infected there, also broadcasting it to her parents in Durres. Gaylat's daughter was part of a group of volunteer doctors who served in Italy against Coddy-19.
