But who was George Floyd?
George Perry Floyd was a 46-year-old African born in Fayetteville, North Carolina but grew up in Houston, Texas.
During the time of the assassination, Floyd had been an unemployed cause of choreography while earlier working as a security guard at a restaurant in Minneapolis for five years, writes Periscopi.
Floyd had been to Yates High School, and had played in the American football and basketball teams of this school. He had been a star on these teams for Yates, helping them win the final match of the 1992 state championship.

He had also played basketball for South Florida Community College from 1993 to 1995.
Later, the late man had returned to Houston and was joined in the hip-hop group Screwed Up Click. He'd been scraping “ (Great Friday).

By 2014 he had gone to Minnesota, and lived in St. Louis Park where he worked for the last five years as a security guard. /Periscope
