In a direct link to Euronews Albania clinical epidemiologist Ilir Alimehmetlinked the high number of cases to COVID-19 in the region, namely in northern Macedonia and Kosovo, with the high number of tests conducted in these countries.
According to him, if these testing figures were to take place in Albania, we would also have increased numbers of cases, which, according to him, are not an indication of the disease.
“RMV tests 6-8 times more than Albania and who wants to find. Even Kosovo has a higher rate of tests.
The new cases themselves are not criteria, the importance of how many people are hospitalised. Green light is at 70 and less of the hospital beds. In Albania, we currently have a very small percentage of beds occupied with 34 total hospitalised persons. If there were more tests in Albania, there would be more cases of”, the doctor said.
Meanwhile, the largest number of deaths in the RMV doctors linked it to a strategy followed by doctors in the neighbouring country, which, as nowhere in Europe, make post-mortem buffers.
According to him, in the case of Albania and other European countries, the number of active cases, which is very small currently, indicating that the virus has been clinically eased.
Mr. Alimehmeti also commented on a post on his Facebook page, where he spoke of good news standing behind his counterfeit figures served by China.
These counterfeit projections, the doctor said, led to a chain of misinformation of governments in different parts of the world, causing the measures taken by them to be extreme.

He did not rule out the possibility of the virus in the second wave in the fall, although according to the doctor, this clinical softness may prevent the second wave from coming.
