Zagreb Summit ends, Thaci: I stressed urgent need for EU to make visa liberalisation decision

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, through a script published on the official Facebook page, has stressed once again through online address at the Zagreb Summit, for the EU to make a decision on visa liberalisation.

In online address at the Zagreb Summit between the EU and the Western Balkans, I stressed the urgent need for the EU to make the decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo.

Twenty years ago at the Zagreb Summit, Kosovo and the Balkans were offered European prospects. It is painful to hear the same commitment today, but without a decision on visa liberalisation. Even without EU membership candidate status, we have fulfilled all criteria.

The EU and member states have the power to change this negative trend. I called on them to show leadership and the will to draw Kosovo closer to the EU.
