After Yerenelli, Kurt Government is caught with Borrell: There can be a map dialogue

For the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, which is headed by Albin Kurti, any discussion in which change of Kosovo borders is thought to be included is unacceptable. In a response given to the Government's Express, there is said to be no dialogue with maps and agreements that could include changing borders [...]
EU High Representative Josep Borrell has spoken yesterday in an interview for some Balkan media about the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue issue. In this interview, Borell has not objected to the idea of correcting the borders between Kosovo and Serbia, saying such an issue should be resolved between the two sides and that it does not belong to the EU to show Serbs and Kosovars what they should be informed about and what they should not agree on.
But for the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, currently headed by Albin Kurti, there can be no agreement between Kosovo and Serbia as a result of a map dialogue.
In a response to Gazeta Express, Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has said that for the Kosovo executive, all discussions regarding Kosovo's borders are unacceptable.
About Mr. Borrell, the government stresses that dialogue should be principled. We have already reiterated our positions that there can be no agreement without dialogue and dialogue with maps. For the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, discussions about the borders of the Republic of Kosovo as the promise of an agreement are unacceptable, just as an agreement involving their change as a result of” are said to answer for Express.
For the government leading incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, using the term change of borders as replacement for the division of Kosovo is unacceptable.
“Change of borders, such as euphemism for territorial change and partition of Kosovo, is unacceptable to us and illegal by us”, Kryeziu has said further.
In the end, he has said that the Government welcomes Borell's decalation that dialogue should be free and fair between Kosovo and Serbia, and that the final agreement should take into account the effects it may cause in the region.
Borell asked yesterday if he opposes the idea of redressing borders, he has said that he could be more Catholic than the Pope and that such a matter is up to Kosovo and Serbia.
“Sic said this is an issue that needs to be resolved in dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo. I don't see the need for us to be more Catholic than the Pope. It's not up to us to tell Serbs and Kosovars what they should agree to, is it? Our role will be to facilitate dialogue. But as I said, we should not be more Catholic than the Pope. If they agree on something, we should still study that agreement, because each agreement between Serbia and Kosovo has influence in the region”, said Borell questioned whether it is against the idea of exchange of territories and correction of borders”, Borell said.
