UNDP and Luxembourg Government have donated the National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) 5,000 complete tests for COVID-19.
This has been made known Friday through a communique by the UNDP. According to the communiqué, this is the second shipment to surrender I KSHPK's, as an aid to detect and fight the Coronavirus.
“U n The NDP is located near Kosovo institutions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Today's donation was made possible through a generous contribution from the Luxembourg government through LuxDev in Kosovo, which we sincerely thank. We are closely co-operating with the Ministry of Health and other institutions in Kosovo to support them in meeting the immediate needs and efficient management of the crisis,” said Maria Sukokko, UNDP Permanent Representative.

According to the communiqué, the deal with Luxembourg Government through the Lux Development S.A. It amounts to the total value of 1m euros, of which 4650,000 will be used for the purchase of up to 20,000 exploration and extraction tests COVID-19 for the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK) in Pristina.
This will enable the Health Ministry to effectively track the spread of the virus and locate the epidemic's key points as the basis for predicting and planning the control strategy. The remaining amount of contribution will be used for humanitarian aid to families that have been particularly affected by COVID-19”, the communique said.
Since the spread of pandemic, Kosovo, like other countries in the world, has had the biggest problem with insufficient testing.
