A very difficult year for the tourism sector, but perhaps in the final part of the year, there will be tourists visiting Kosovo. Kosovo has 12 months of tourism, year-round. The tourism sector is the most affected by the pandemic COVID-19, the damage is enormous. Various hotel sectors are still closed”, Hoti said.
Hoti said the Tourism Association in Kosovo has drafted a plan that has been sent to relevant institutions.
“We have developed a concrete plan for the sector recovery, we have sent this plan to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Finance and the Government of Kosovo. As part of the emergency plan, we have seen an emergency drop from 18 percent to 8 percent for the hotel, and we have asked to receive subsidies. We have demanded that for 2020/21 all activities of Kosovo institutions be kept indoors, not to get out so that financial means remain in Kosovo”, Hoti said.
