The chairman of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Mufti Naim Ternava, has called on all believers in Islamic faith to abide by the rules and requirements of the Islamic Community, in terms of preserving public health, against the COVID-19 virus.
Ternava has said that believers should be careful when going to the mosque by keeping their distance, putting their masks on, taking action in their homes, and demanding that the elderly and the chronically ill not go to the mosque to maintain their health as well as others.
All citizens showed an institutional responsibility and were able to escape the COVID-19 virus, of course, and today I ask all believers to be careful with going to the mosque, to keep their distance, to wear masks that will positively affect the health preservation of this virus in the Republic of Kosovo. We ask that believers abide by the rules, the elderly, and the most chronically ill not to come to the mosque in order to maintain their health. We believe these recommendations will be respected”, Ternava said.
Mufti Ternava also indicated that Friday's speech will not last more than 10 minutes.
This is gonna take 10 minutes. We have a wonderful jam to understand how important it is to maintain public health. We will arrange the prayer of Friday at several mosques and twice, where their numbers will be large and not in all mosques. I believe the believers would respect all our demands“, mufti Naim Trnava said, among other things.
