Thaci: Kurti has usurped the prime minister's office, even after two serious constitutional violations

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has declared that Albin Kurti has usurped the prime minister's office even after two serious constitutional violations and is behaving as an illegal man in Kosovo political Tab.

“We all need to focus on the full respect of constitutionality and legitimacy, unfortunately we have a man who has usurped the prime minister's office even after two serious constitutional violations and is acting as an illegal man in the Kosovo political tab, as if we should have patience, we must clearly work but also respect all to respect the Constitutional Court's decision that is expected to come up in the coming days as they have stated, and on the other side not to assume anyone who makes any pressure, he said.

According to him, court decisions should be respected, adding that they have always respected the decisions of the Constitutional Court, even when they liked it, but even when they did not like it.

I've always respected when I liked it even when I didn't like it at all, but no one is above the Constitution, on the laws. I as president of the country will continue to respect all my mandate coming out of the Constitution of Kosovo, in particular with ensuring the democratic functioning of the country's institutions, including the Constitutional Court because my mandate does not originate with the Constitutional Court, but by the Constitution. We have to learn to respect independent institutions, institutions that go beyond the daily political interest frames or personal egos of everyone. My invitation is for all respect of the Constitutional Court's decision to issue”, he said.

Thaci made these comments after visiting the Dubrava prison, where he remembers all Albanian prisoners killed 21 years ago.
