Kosovo's former chief negotiator in talks with Serbia, Edita Tahiri, does not think an agreement between the two countries could be reached soon. She says Kosovo is not prepared for the final phase because there is no political or national unity about the platform of dialogue. She reiterates that there should be no border contact since it destabilises the Balkans.
Former Minister for Dialogue, has said Kosovo should speak with a voice in Kosovo- Serbia and according to it internal unity is necessary.
Among other things, she says Euro-American mediation is needed, adding that America is Kosovo's first and foremost ally, but that Europe also has its significance.
For the question of dialogue with Serbia, Tahiri says that no impression should be created that anyone is being done from the beginning, since, according to her, Serbia likes this torment and aims to take responsibility for the genocide committed in Kosovo.
“I don't think that we are prepared for this final phase because the first one is not a political or national unity about the platform of dialogue, because of the dysonances in attitudes, the attitude that dominates and I am part of that attitude is that there are no borders at all because any touch of borders in the Balkans brings no stability, and domino effects, cannot be stopped in just a part of the Balkans, second, Kosovo is an independent, sovereign state with these borders on the will of the people of Kosovo and the war for independence, and the International Court for Justice decision that has recognised Kosovo's independence and independence. This should be the basis of the unity platform for dialogue, and the voices that have been talking about border touch should be marginalised, should not be allowed on behalf of Kosovo someone in the world to talk about border issues”, she says.
She says that any statements about touching borders should finally be closed because, according to her, this has damaged Kosovo in the process of non-recognition.
Tahiri stresses that the Kosovo government should prepare seriously for this dialogue with greater unity.
Even the EU's top representative, Borrell, probably manipulated by rumours coming differently from Kosovo, left the issue open, then Lajck turned up as an emissary for dialogue opposed. This shows that we have sent vague signals to the world, and have put the world in confusion, now is the time to build the unique voice of Kosovo's state position for dialogue, so neighboring with Serbia, but by recognising each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and by taking responsibility for war, damage, genocide, ethnic cleansing and other<1>, Tahiri says.
She reiterates that the country's president, Hashim Thaci, has erred in the idea of correcting the borders, which Tahiri says was assisted by Serbia's president.
She says Kosovo should not be introduced into scenarios that would reveal a major Serbia in the Balkans.
According to Tahiri, only an equal Balkans can bring peace and stability. /
