Suspected Officer Arrested for Abuse of Official Position

Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators (IPK) have arrested a police official on suspicion that the same has committed the same criminal act “

The first information IPK investigators had received via operational investigative routes that at one of the offices at the Kacanik police station, respectively, there were several documents allegedly with false content.

IPK investigators have come to the scene and in co-ordination with chief prosecutor at Ferizaj have taken some investigative action, including the provisional selection of items in quality of material evidence, as well as interviewing the suspect.

Following these investigative actions, the police official (suspected in this case) has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours on suspicion of having committed criminal work “Using official position or authority” by Article 14 of the Republic of Kosovo's Penal Code.

Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended.
