Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko has declared that a final solution for Kosovo should be defined at the UN Security Council, adopting a new resolution replacing Resolution 1244.
“The UN Security Council's continued attention to Kosovo is one of the preconditions for regulating the problem”, Bocan-Kharachenko told Politika newspaper in Belgrade.
Serbia has Russia's support in international organisations for its stance and refusal to recognise Kosovo's independence.
Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which should lead to a legally binding agreement on normalising relations, was interrupted after the end of 2018, Pristina imposed a 100 per cent tax on Serbian products.
Kosovo on April 1st lifted the 100 per cent tax and imposed reciprocity measures on Serbia.
