-10.41m has dropped the water level on Badovci Lake, what it will do by the middle of this year at night will begin reducing drinking water.
This is the warning the director of the regional water pipeline “Prishtina”, Sokol Xhafa.
Residents living in the vicinity say that such a drop in water levels for 10 feet [10 m] or more did not occur for more than 20 years.
When there's no water in Badovc, we're fed from this lake.
Reducings for residents of the capital are expected to begin soon.
“Never in May has Badovci Lake been worse. When we're here, it means that the following part of the year does not promise much about continuing the supply of water. But that doesn't mean that in the following months, even June, I believe we'll spend 24 hours, but the rest of the year we'll probably start with a reduction of water supply. We will try to make reductions to do at night, when consumption is minimal”, Xhafa told Klan Kosovo.
If Badovci is not filled up and there are emergency situations to find missing supply alternatives. But to function, it takes money, which for now is not getting well.
Despite spring rains, they were not enough to fill the lake.
From the pipeline, they said that water levels drop up to 7m below the maximum level are also in Lake Batlava.
