Acting Minister of Defence and LDK Chiefship Anton Quinn has clarified his abstention at the LDK's meeting when it is scheduled for Avdullah Hoti, prime minister.
Quinn said he has proposed several other names for which he has had the conviction that the mobilization of the LDK about those personalities would be more powerful. He also voiced confidence that Vjosa Osmani will continue to be part of LDK. Quinn also said he is ready to be minister again in the ministry that currently leads him if he trusts the party.
Anton Kuni, in the race for LDKA MP in the 6 October elections, had managed to be 3rd on the list after Vjosa Osmani and Kujtim Shala, garnering 31 thousand and 731 votes.
Asked about the position on Avdullah Hoti's name for prime minister and the statement by Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri given in Pressing of T7, where he said Sʹka believed that Hoti would accept the position of the government chief, Minister Kuni said that despite his abstained stance he has respected the majority's stance.
And not every time we're all on the same page, but after wasting the arguments on options and other possibilities, the subject is articulated and taken by respecting the attitude of the majority. In that spirit, in spite of my abstentiond stance, I want to state eventually that I respect the position of decision-making structures for the appointment of Professor Hoti for prime minister”, Quinn said.
The member of the LDK's leadership said it is true that at the meeting he listed several other names for which the mobilization of the LDK would be more powerful.
I haven't expressed any doubts in terms of any of the LDK's personality. The truth is that I listed some names that I thought were worth considering also that I had the conviction that the mobilization of the LDK around those personalities would be more powerful”, Quinn added to the Express Journal.
The current defence minister also spoke of the LDK's coalition with AAKA and Initiative, where the party he meets will be the leader of the next government if the Constitutional Court decides for this.
He expressed confidence that the LDK will rule deservingly in any governing format it represents.
I am convinced that any framework of the LDK, in any form of government, with everyone and whatever circumstances they take responsibility to serve the citizens and the state, will show high performance and serve with great devotion”, he said.
Quinn also said that the ministry he is running is of particular importance, and both in the new government must meet with LDK.
“The Defence Ministry is of particular importance as a factor of strengthening peace and stability, not itself in Kosovo but also in the region, so it would have to be under the particular interest and dedication of the LDK”, he said.
Kostare's former commander offered to lead this minister again if the party is trusting him.
I am willing to accept responsibilities as minister of defence if the same is asked and believed by LDK authorities”, Quinn said.
On the other hand, Quinn also spoke of former candidates for LDK Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani when asked whether he believes Osman will continue its political journey in the Democratic League of Kosovo.
LDK chief member said convinced that despite speculation, Vjosa Osmani will remain in the LDK.
“Despite the numerous speculations created in situations that have a different contradiction or attitude of acts on the political subject, I am convinced that Mrs. Osmani will remain within the LDK] family. The LDK route will continue to bring us all together”, he said.
Quinn also stated that those who await the LDK division would remain disappointed.
All those waiting for our fragmentation can only let you know that in vain they feed in hopes that they will weaken the LDK and its role in strengthening the Republic of Kosovo. We will remain united and unified around the right Western programme and values, in which we believe and with which we develop our programming policies and it is the axis that unites us in LDK”, Quinn concluded.
