In view of economic problems, even in our municipality, caused by the pandemic, I propose that we do not bring this decision today, but it is postponed by September at least”, Ardian Berisha has said. This proposal was supported by most advisers, as well as by Economic Development Director Janet Syka Kelmendi.

With this regulation, among other things, the Pec Community has decided that most private sector activities do not work on Sundays and during official holiday days. This proposal has only been criticised by Alternative adviser Driton Sylqa.
I am against doing business on Sundays. It is contrary to fundamental principles of the market economy and conflicts with employment and development policy. It is unwarranted that some businesses are banned from work Sunday”, Sylqa said.
Meanwhile, Mevlyde Idrizi of LVVja has said that there are reasons for some businesses to work Sunday, but there must also be caution for workers who need holiday days during the week.
