Mustafa: Kurt himself had said that the first party is king and that second could form Government

The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has said the government can also form the second party. Mustafa even shows that even Kurt once thought so, saying that anyone who comes out first is not king. It is clear that the Constitutional Court has said the government can even make [...] the party.

It is clear that the Constitutional Court has said the government can also make the second, third, or fourth party. That's how Kurt himself interpreted it in 2014, he said that anyone who comes out first is not King”, Mustafa said.

He said Kurti was reluctant to make the government by not sending the prime minister's name from his party.

No one can use a timeline without borders. Because, however, there must be a limit for the first-ever party to reflect and give the candidate for prime minister. The fact that the first party is reluctant to give the name for prime minister shows that this party is not interested in making the government”, Mustafa has said.

On the other hand, Mustafa invited the Constitutional Court to give an answer as soon as possible because this, according to him, helps in the next practice facing parties.

“The Constitutional Court must give an answer, because it helps in the future practice with which we will face”, Mustafa says at RTV 21.

All in the end, Mustafa said that the citizen does not decide who will make the government, only for MPs in the Assembly, and then MPs form the government.

The citizen does not decide who will rule, the citizen vote decides for MPs, and which party will have more MPs. In general elections, it is voted for parliament, not the government. And then, the Assembly elects the government, that means a majority should make the parliamentary majority. Democracy is not violated like this, but citizens' vote” is respected, Mustafa concluded.
