On Europe Day 9th, LDK chairman Isa Mustafa sends this communique to media:
Europe's Day marks one of the most important moments of peace settlement in Europe plagued by wars over the centuries.
On May 9, 1950, Robert Schumann laid the foundation of interstate co-operation, initially as an economic project to become later into the level of political, cultural, social and other co-operation.
The EU is the story of success that gave Europe not only a long-term peace but also a promotion and economic well-being to the member states.
Kosovo is grateful to the EU for the continued support it has given our state in the statehood processes. This has resulted even at the time when we signed the SAA, which so far is the contract and co-operation at the highest level with the EU.
Kosovo's European road is very clear -- it aims at membership in the big European family. Currently Kosovo is the only country without visa liberalisation, and we express conviction that the EU as soon as it makes a positive decision that Kosovars do not remain the only discriminated against not only in the Western Balkans, but throughout Europe. Our citizens and young people believe and share the same values that the European Union has cultivated for all these years”.
