On Monday work begins in courts without presence of media and public

The Kosovo Judiciary Council, respecting the IKSHP recommendations, under measures of protection from Pandemia COVID-19, has held the next meeting, where it was discussed about the current situation with the Covis-19 situation in the judicial system, Council plans regarding the start of work in the judiciary, as well as priorities that will be determined to handle judicial cases.
According to a council communique, after many discussions and based on lifting the restrictions of movement on the part of the Ministry of Health (MSH) and with recommendations by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK), the Kosovo Judiciary Council made a decision on 1 June to start working in all courts of the Republic of Kosovo, but without the presence of the media and the public, implementing IKSHEP's recommendations for measures against the COVID virus-19 June.
“The complete decision will be published as soon as it is ready. KDP members approved the draft proposal for the Emergency Crisis Management Plan prepared by the Commission for Court Management and the Commission for Standard Affairs, whose goal is to ensure the management of the Kosovo judicial system by adapting to emergency circumstances. Also, this plan can serve as a basic document for future crisis management, including other emergency health situations, natural disasters or security threats circumstances. During this meeting, the Council approved the announcement of the SKJK Department of General Administration for the retirement of three judges, two from the Court of Appeals in Pristina and one at the Constitutional Court in Prizren-dega in Dragash. KDP members reviewed the Constitutional Court's proposal in Pristina, Aferdita Bytyci, for the appointment of the Court's Adviser's task officer and consented to the SPD Director's decision on the appointment of the administrator. Also, during this meeting, KDP Secretariat General Director Shkelzen Maliqi reported on the work of the SKG, for 2019 and the January-May period 2020”, the report said.
In the end, the proposal was approved for courts in Kosovo to keep evidence and issue certificates on persons who have been convicted of courting the formal form. Without the presence of the media, however, requirements for establishing an investigative panel were considered.
