The total disappearance of Coronavirus can only take place after the vaccine is discovered that can last up to a year.

So said microbiologist Lul Raka in an interview for Online Economics, in an interview, has indicated that the disappearance of pandemic can occur after the vaccine is found, which may last a year.

Raka said we should prepare to co-exist with the virus but with maximum care. According to him, Kosovo has won the battle against Coronavirus, but not yet war.

“Pandemia can be defeated when the vaccine is found, which is safe and efficient, and when it is able to be produced massively, because if it comes to such a vaccine it takes a year. We have to prepare to co-exist with the virus, but, having maximum care of”, Raka added.

Professor Raka has said there may be second and third waves of the virus, setting the example for other countries such as Singapore, which has had second shock waves due to neglect of the measures.

Raka stressed that in the second wave Kosovo has space until next season to be prepared to the maximum with tests, personal equipment and management capacity, so that preparation is maximum and there is no need for such isolation as the first time, but along with Coronavirus there will be another enemy who is seasonal flu, during autumn and winter.

We can have second and third waves of the virus. We've seen it from other countries that first entered this cycle. In Singapore, after the first cycle has ended, there have been shock waves of the second wave due to neglect of the measures. There's been a thousand and 500 workers' dormitories that were crowded. For this reason preventative measures are very important, because there may be cases but there may be no enzyme growth and these cases be manageable. But in the second stage that's going to happen in the next season because the virus can't disappear because it's already in other parts of the world in the south where winter begins. We've seen in China that there have been new cases”.

Kosovo's second wave has space until next season to be prepared to maximum with tests and personal equipment, management capacity, so that in the second wave we can be prepared, because we'll know how to react and that's a positive element. Some people have already been infected, and we still don't know how many percent, but until then through tests we'll know what percent of the population is affected. In the second wave, there will be no need for isolation like the first time, but along with Coronavirus we will have another enemy who is seasonal flu, in autumn and winter”, he added.

According to him, if compared with the number of hospitalised and death cases, Kosovo has managed the situation with Coronavirus beyond predictions.

Raka also spoke of Kosovo's capacities that have lacked investments in Health has been 20 years old. He also cited the lack of tests facing Kosovo during the pandemic.

According to Rakes, the first battle with Coronavirus in Kosovo has been won, but the war has not yet been won.

If we compare the number of cases, hospitals and deaths, Kosovo has managed beyond expectations better than we thought. If Kosovo's capacity is considered, and it has not been invested in Health for 20 years. Every country needs tests, and there's a global shortage. Even Kosovo faces a lack of tests despite numerous requests”.

There is not enough supply with tests. The first battle with Coronavirus in Kosovo was won, but we haven't won the war yet. Hence, prevention and respect are needed to win war. Therefore, any citizens can respect the distance and wear of a mask. If we behave well then we'll have less case”, Raka added.
