The United Nations today launched a global initiative against misinformation linked to the new coronary, spreading reliable and accurate content with the help of a network of volunteers.
The initiative, called “Verifiated “, encourages people worldwide to become information volunteers to exchange proven content through social networks.
“Information will be focused on science, solutions and solidarity, as well as on hopeful content, refugee and migrants contributions, making the issue a global co-operation”, according to UN Global Communications Chairman Melisa Fleming.
The campaign will also promote recovery packages that combat the climate crisis and address poverty, inequality and hunger.
