After two weeks of decline in the number of cases with COVID-19, 14 new cases were confirmed in Kosovo last night, while only two infected ones were healed.

The rise in this number raised suspicions that there could be a second wave of the virus in our country.

Infectian Izet Sadiku, in a pronomination for Telegrafi, has said that the rise in cases in the past two days, indicates that no fight has yet to be won with COVID-19 pandemic.

Sadiku says it is necessary to continue respecting the measures proposed by the National Institute of Public Health.

He has stressed that in the event these measures are not respected, there is the risk of bringing the virus back in September.

“Unless proposed measures for the preservation of distance and use of the mask are respected, and if there is a danger of increasing the number of new cases that would affect the measures proposed by the MSH to become questionable about other phases. You know that all research has already warned that there is a risk of turning the virus back to September, and until an effective vaccine is discovered we are forced to live with the virus by fully respecting and implementing the measures proposed by the IKSHP”, Sadiku said.

The Infectian has appealed to citizens to respect measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by keeping distance and using masks, by not appearing unnecessarily, and by not gathering in family or working meetings.

“must be understood that the world will be different after COVID-19!”, Sadiku said.

So far the number of people affected with COVID-19 has reached 884, healed 655, meanwhile, 28 people have lost their lives.
