The Kosovo Institute for Justice says it understands and promotes the continued demand of citizens and the public to have independent institutions, with integrity, credibility and, most importantly, independent institutions that take the public's confidence in important processes for the public.
The IKD re-remembers the public, political parties and institutional leaders that the Constitutional Court is the final authority in the Republic of Kosovo for interpreting the Constitution and conforming laws to the Constitution.
“in this direction with the aim of preserving and promoting political and institutional stability, The IKD calls on all sides to respect the Constitutional Court's conviction pronounced yesterday over the issue raised by the Vetevendosje Movement for opposing the president's decree on the issue of terming the new government”, the IKD communiqué said.
Despite the criticism the parties may have about the content of this act, they are forced to observe it in a precise manner, following and implementing all the provisions and principles clarified in the judicial act connected with forming the government.
The IKD calls on all sides to refrain from undemocratic language and actions and to ensure full implementation of the Constitutional Court's justice in the process of creating the new government.
The IKD also supports guaranteed rights in the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo to express dissatisfaction through peaceful democratic means.
