This year's hotel service in Saranda will be 20% cheaper

Adrian Gurma in an interview for Kosova Prees shows that the Saranda municipality is preparing to provide the necessary conditions for tourism, taking into account the pandemic situation across the globe.

“We are preparing as a normal situation, so that this day is not distant, it is understood according to the state of pandemic performance. We are making all the effort, but even the tour operators are operating in the Together of Saranda, to make it possible that when the start of the season arrives, tourists not only from Albania's territory, why not from Kosovo and Northern Macedonia will find adequate infrastructure and all conditions. For one thing, security, because we have a different situation now, we are not in the classic situation of the past years. But in a situation that will condition new standards and regulations throughout the 481st tourist season, Gurma points out.

Gurma suggests that this year there will be new conditions for tourism in Saranda. He stresses that the space between the tents will be 3.5m at least.

“Space between tents will not be like other years. It'll be the biggest space. At least no less than five feet [3.5 m] of distance between the umbrellas. Of course, there are other conditions, there are clearly defined in this draft regarding conduct in locals and service units, in hotels, and everything else”, he declares.

The stone to KosovoPress stresses that the Saranda municipality is preparing for normal tourist season, where hotel prices will be 20 per cent cheaper.

“Crahasyly with other years in the Saranda municipality this year's tourist offers, hotel offers will be 20 per cent cheaper than other years. At the same time, we as the local government organ, for beach space that includes the traditional part of the city we've been thinking from the tourism port to the mall trajector near the hotel to be a beach surface without contracting by any operators, managed by municipal employees. This year this part will be free and free, for anyone who would like to attend”, adds the mayor of Saranda.

Saranda's first municipality stresses that in this period under normal conditions the country would have great influx of tourists from Kosovo, and not only. But because of the spread of the Ovid 19 pandemic, there were no major moves this month. This, says Gurma, has also had an effect on this municipality's financial income.

There's actually a financial effect which, so far, we have a rough figure we don't. But the effect that if the situation is overcome will be put on reserve in the future. Although we have accumulated and have revenues from last year, it is still a period of stoppage, which has created a significant financial effect”, Gurma says.

Among other things, he says that from the Ministry of Tourism and Health, they are co-operating in drafting a draft protocol that defines all rules for tourism. Otherwise, in Saranda there is no case with Ovid 19, so he says tests have been made for suspected cases, but no one has proved positive.
