Haradinaj shows have spoken to LDK for presidential post

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj finds it difficult to refuse President Hashim Thaci's decree by the Constitutional Court for terming Avdullah Hoti for prime minister.

The former prime minister sees denial by the Constitution for establishing the new government by the second party impossible. On the contrary, it says democracy is seriously endangered in the country.

Haradinaj says it is not a good time for the country to go to the polls.

I see it as impossible to deny even the second to become the government when the first one didn't. Because our entire democracy is at stake, because every time we have a choice if the first one fails to do it, then we'll have to go back to the elections. I find it very difficult to declare the decree of no constitutional possession. We are a stable and functional political subject, and we don't care about the election issue as far as the Alliance is concerned. Concern would be the time in this case, which would be long lost and instead of a government that is immediately mandated by parliament devoted to economic themes and others then would have been very much lost in elections and then by government creation, so we would lose it completely this year, and I don't think it's a good time to”, he said.

AAK head for Kosovo Press says presidential post issue is not included at all in agreement signed between LDK - AAK and Initiative.

We haven't had a conversation about the president with LDK. We only have what we signed in the agreement, but the post of president or way of choosing or what happens is not part of the” discussion, Haradinaj said.

Haradinaj has also commented on the prime minister's statements in office, Albin Kurti, for threatening from the so-called organisation “Garda Albanian Volunteer”.

He says the prime minister is responsible for the safety of each citizen of the country, and if he feels at risk, security mechanisms must operate.

The chairman of the government is responsible for the security of all of us and himself, and other mechanisms are now probably reluctant by the prime minister to come up with these estimates. It is better to leave the security mechanisms in this case investigative, police, intelligence, with the assessment of how serious this threat is”, he stressed.

We remember, that the Constitutional Court has suspended the implementation of President Hashim Thaci's decree until May 29th, until it examines the subject sent by this party, regarding the constitutionality of the president's decision.
