The head doctor of the United States for the Coronavirus today insisted that the second wave of the Devid-19 pandemic is not inevitable if people follow physical distance instructions.
White House Immmologist Dr Anthony Fauci said today that the current strategy of distance and effective tracking of contacts could prevent the recovery of cases many states fear.
Dr Fauci, also director of the US National Institute for allergies and infections, told CNN: “We should not accept that the second wave of pandemic is inevitable. I'd appreciate people being careful about this but not considering it inevitable”.
The influential expert spoke with positive tones today than last month, when he seemed convinced of the opposite, saying: “It is inevitable that the Coronavirus will return next season. The way we're going to deal with pandemic will also determine our fate”.
Experts fear that Covid-19 could strongly return when temperatures drop again in autumn and winter, and that the virus would overload health services and hospitals facing the common flu season.
So far, Dr. Fauci had tried to ease President Trump's optimistic statements, but today he also acknowledged himself that the investigation systems of cases and people's isolation could prevent the return.
