The epidemiology situation in the country appears to be stable based on the identification of current cases and epidemiology tracking actively.
Based on the current data, it is estimated that the effective number of reproductions from April 24th and below the critical limit (for R < 1). Today it is the lowest number of positive daily cases, estimated in the last eight weeks. In the last 24 hours, 121 suspected citizens have been tested as affected by Covid-19 and have resulted positive to 4 citizens, 2 citizens in Tirana, 1 in Kamez and 1 in Shkodra, respectively.
There are four civilians. So far they have confirmed positive with COVID-19 across 872 citizens. 654 citizens have recovered, or 75% of all affected. There are currently 187 active people across the country with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Kruje, Shkodra, Kamez. The situation in hospitals has shown itself stable for days.
Currently, 28 patients are laid out in two hospitals, and only 3 are in intensive therapy. For more than 10 days, we have no loss of life. Fewer than 15% of active affects are receiving treatment in the civil hospitals, the rest are followed by family doctor. From the beginning of the epidemic, to date, 11089 tests have been conducted in our country, of which 10559 are molecular tests and 530 are serological tests.
Despite the ease of the measures, the Health and Social Protection Ministry invites citizens to respect the rules, maintain physical distance and personal hygiene; businesses implement safety protocols to maintain the health of citizens.
