The Constitutional Court has issued today an announcement concerning the VV's request for assessing the constitutionality of Avdullah Hoti's decree as a candidate for prime minister.
The Constitution by means of a communique for the media has clarified that MPs, in addition, have also called for the provisional measure of suspension of the decree's implementation.
In this form, with the aim of urgent review, the Constitution has demanded from all sides of the interest, to submit their comments about the provisional measure. The deadline is set today by 12: 00 p.m.

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo has agreed on Thursday, April 30th 2020, around 5 p.m., a request submitted by 30 deputies of the Parliamentary Group of Movement V EVIDENCE, through which the constitutionality of the Decree No. 24/2020, dated April 30th 2020, the president of the Republic of Kosovo. In addition, in the submitted motion, the pre-missive deputies have also sought the Court to impose the provisional measure for suspending implementation of the edict in question. With the aim of urgent and comprehensive examination of the request, with a number of Ko72/20 cases, the Court has sent yesterday reports through which it has requested from all parties of interest in this case that: a) comments pertaining to the request for the provisional provisional measure to submit to the Constitutional Court's official email today, May 1, 2020, at 12:00; b) Comments pertaining to the merits of the request, deliver them to the Court by May 8, 2020, at 4: 00 p.m. The announcement to register the request submitted by MPs and to hand over the comments has already been sent: President of Kosovo; Kosovo Prime Minister; Kosovo Parliament Speaker, with the specific request that the copy of the request be sent to all MPs in the Parliament; and to the ombudsman. The Constitutional Court is committed to addressing this subject with urgency and prioritization according to its responsibilities and constitutional function.
