Over the past few days, US President Donald Trump has continued his accusations that China did not do enough to prevent the virus when it first appeared in Wuhan and Hubei.
But Trump has been accused of trying to lift the blame for handling the crisis before his November re-election bid.
In China, his charges have been dropped. Beijing rejects claims that it did not warn the world as soon as possible that it was not transparent in connection with its explosion, or that the virus is linked to a Wuhan laboratory, reports the BBC.
While there have been only a few attacks against Trump himself, Chinese state media have erupted against US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as bad “ ” and crazy “” after he claimed there was evidence linking the virus to a Chinese laboratory.
