World Health Organisation Director-General (OBSH) Tedros Adhanom Ghebresus warned of the danger of returning restrictive measures unless states open cautiously and gradually.
Tedros stressed that a series of measures are needed before a country removes the measures imposed for controlling the spread of Covid-19, such as monitoring and healthcare system preparedness.
“Rrestic from returning restrictive measures remains very real if states are not careful at this stage”, he stressed from the conference in Geneva.
Tedros also said it is not possible to return to daily life as before until the pandemic stops and stressed the need for investment in health systems.
