Germany has noted increases in the reproduction rate of infections with COVIDD-19 above level 1.
The corruption reproduction rate in Germany is estimated to have grown above the core value of 1, reaching 1.13, according to the country's disease and control centre, the Robert Koch Institute, Reuters reports, broadcast news.net.
Before Saturday, the reproduction rate in Germany was below 1, the institute reported.
The reproduction rate refers to how many individuals every person infected with coronary will infect on average.
Background: The rise in the reproduction rate shows an increase in infections across Germany, days after Chancellor Angela Merkel announced an easing of the deadlock measures.
Last Wednesday, Merkel announced a gradual reopening of all shops and schools, as well as the resumption of the Bundesliga football league, although there will be no spectators, news broadcasts.net.
The Robert Koch Institute said there is still a “degree of uncertainty” with these estimates, but increasing the reproduction rate “makes it necessary to monitor development very closely over the coming days”.
Germany has reported more than 171,000 cases of coronary, including over 7,500 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. /
