Albania Starts Applications for Farm subsidies

During a visit to a farm that cultivates plant seedlings and forest trees in Cyril, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Bledi Cuchi urged farmers to apply for these funds by June 19th.

He again explained the focus of this year's National Schema.

The first advantage of this scheme is cattle farmers who will receive direct support for the metricated flock. We also have support for greenhouses and plastic tunnels that will renew the plastic. We will also grant subsidies for enterprises that will seek to receive Global GAP Certificate, for boosting competitiveness in international markets, as well as for the livestock sector”, the minister said.

The first day had a high flow of applications from farmers. The entire procedure is conducted online with zero documents. First, a census is made on e-Albana, as a citizen, with ID records. Then he chooses the kind of farmer, the location of the farm, the size and the amount for which you will apply. Then click send.

In the 2020 National Farmer support scheme, 743.9 million dollars are projected and are expected to benefit about four thousand farmers across the country.
