Mr. Maduro has often accused US President Donald Trump of trying to invade his country and bring it down, writes the BBC, translates Periscope.

Mr. Trump denied this week that he had been involved in the case.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, meanwhile, said the US government would use “any” tool to ensure the return of Americans caught in the US.

What did Venezuelan television show?

In a video during Wednesday, Mr. Denman, 34, appeared to have been explaining that he was employed to train Venezuelan people in Colombia before returning to Caracas (the capital of Venezuela) to take control of the airport to force Maduro to leave the country.

I was helping the Venezuelans return control of their country,” said Mr. Denamn, ex-special forces.

He added that, along with 41-year-old Airan Berry, they were contracted by Jordan Goudreau, an American military veteran who heads an American firm based in Florida to launch this operation.

Venezuela said it would require Mr. Venezuela's extradition. Goudreau, who admitted to being involved in this operation.

According to Mr. Maduro, his firm had signed contracts with opposition leader Juan Guaido, a first US politician and many European states as the legitimate leader of this country.

“Donald Trump is the head direct of this invasion,” said Maduro during a press conference after Mr. Denman.

He said Americans would have a fair court process. /Periscope
