2,500 workers of the Kosovo Energy Corporation have signed a petition calling for KEK Director Najazi Thaci's return to work.
Based on the announcement of the new KEK Union that owns InFokus newspaper, these workers have also warned protests unless Thaci returns to work.
The “The workers have warned that if Monday day dates” 01.06.2020 does not respect Mr. Nijazi Thaqi from the KEK's interim Steering Board, then we have no choice but to start with protests and other forms with the organisation of workers' council”, says this announcement, which has been followed by the KEK Board.
In what, days earlier, the Labour Inspectorate has found that the dismissal of Nazi Thaci from the director's position has been made contrary to the law.
The decision obliges the Board to annul that decision and return it to the position of Najazi Thaci on duty.
On the contrary, if KEK does not implement this decision then the penalty penalty measure will be pronounced against this public enterprise.
