The Public Health Institute has announced that more than 12,000 tests have been conducted so far and have been confirmed positive with COVID-19 across the country of 933 citizens. Of them, 77% are already healed.

We let you know the last 24 hours of COVID 19 situation in Albania. 306 suspected citizens have been tested as affected by Ovid 19 and have resulted positive to 17 citizens. Among those tested are 48 health personnel who have all resulted in negative COVID19.
The new cases are focused on the Tirana-Durra area, 8 in Tiranne, 8 in Durres and 1 in Kruja respectively, primarily contact of previous positive cases, but also new cases for which the epidemiological investigation is under way. And the last 24 hours are nine citizens.
New growth cases for the third consecutive day clearly indicate that citizens' care must continue to respect the established measures so that we can minimize the spread of the virus to family contact or beyond.
To date, over 12,000 tests have been conducted and positive confirmed with COVID-19 throughout the country of 933 citizens. Of them, 77% are already healed.
Currently there are 188 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Kruje, Shkodra, Durres, Kamez, Berat.
The situation in hospitals has shown itself stable for days. Currently, 19 patients are laid out in two hospitals, and only 4 are in intensive therapy.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to be responsible, respecting physical distance, maintaining personal hygiene, avoiding visits to relatives for any kind of reason, while businesses must implement strict protocols.
