Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, a telephone conversation today with Richard Moore, Prime Minister General for Political Affairs at the Great Britain Foreign Ministry, has discussed the political situation in Kosovo, the COVID-19 pandemic and steps taken by President Hashim Thaci following the no-confidence motion.
He in a Twitter post has written that forming the new government should be transparent and in line with the results of the 6 October elections, which have issued the first party Vetevendosje Movement.
I expressed my concerns about the constitutionality of the steps taken by the president after the no-confidence motion. The process should be transparent and in line with the results of the 6 October elections, and we should not forget that we are democracy where the transfer of power is legitimate only if it is legal and constitutional”, Kurti said.
He has thanked the British official for the invaluable contribution of Great Britain to Kosovo.
