The group of activists “Replica” has invited all Kosovo citizens from tonight at 8:00 through pot noise to seek new parliamentary elections after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On May 4, however, starting at 2: 00 p.m., the invitation to participate in the election celebration is being extended. This invitation reportedly says that after the completion of the law on limiting the movement to prevent COVID-19, on Monday, May 4th, we all fell into manifestations for the protection of the Republic of Kosovo.
We want choices and we don't allow power theft. We want a legitimate and elected government by the Kosovo people's votes. Do not ignore the will of the people. Stop it! We're tired. Let us become as many as we oppose this theft of power as possible, says the report.
And immediately, on May 5th, the invitation to a peaceful protest is being extended on social networks, starting at 2: 00 p.m. in Skenderbeu Square. Both recent protests are being supported by Vetevendosje Movement activists, despite what incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared he will not organise protests.
But also, Kurti yesterday at the meeting with CUINT ambassadors and chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, has said that President Thaci's recent actions are beyond his constitutional mandate and contrary to democratic rule.
He added that as a result of these efforts to form new Governments by bypassing early elections, citizens never before have been more angry.
