Kosovo's Afarism Oda has reiterated the request sent to the prime minister, since the Ministry of Finance's proposal for the first package that for all employees in the Republic of Kosovo who have been infected by the state of pandemic to be treated equally because many businesses cannot exercise their activity due to recent measures, and others are operating with limited capacities.
Taking into account this OAK has reiterated the request to the Prime Minister that salaries in public institutions and public companies be executed at the value of 50% pay for April, and the following months until the pandemic lasts, for all or for workers who are not working in view that most employees in public institutions are not working.
This is done with the reason that in this way the government will have the possibility of increasing the total of 41m euros to nearly 300,000 employees in the private sector and increasing from 170 euros to at least 220 euros, the OAK letter said.
The OAK has also demanded that the previous 15m-euro sum of additional 300 euros for workers charged by pandemics, business alodes and these sectors receive full salaries.
OAK considers supporting businesses with pay coverage not to fire them, supporting the coverage of operational spending during this time, and supporting interest-free credit and other support is more than necessary for maintaining and increasing employment in Kosovo, which is very necessary at the time when unemployment is the largest in Europe.
The OAK has also demanded that the co-ordination group established at the National Economic Development Council begin work as soon as possible in preparing the second package.
